Worrying, Wandering, or Waiting Is It Wonderful?

Chapter 11 – November

To Blessed to be stressed

God's ways not our ways, God's will not our wants.

When we lay aside the things we want and seek God’s will; God honors our hearts and sends us more blessings than we can contain. That is why we sing the song "So blessing I can't contain it." God's promises are yes and Amen.

Worrying, Wandering, or Waiting
Is It Wonderful?

Ever think of what it was like for Moses in the desert? What about the people who followed him there? The bible tells us that they grumbled while they were there; and at the same time it tells us that their garments did not wear out and neither did their shoes. I do not know about you; but I haven't found a pair of shoes, or an outfit that lasted 40 years. What did they eat? Manna, they called it bread from Heaven. It was supplied for them fresh every day.

Candy: Cotton Candy (being used as Manna) Cotton candy can be found in stores, of course it is at its best when bought freshly made.

Scriptures: Exodus 16:1-36 (Worrying + Wandering)
James 5:1-11 (Wait upon the Lord)
Philippians 4:1-9 (Do not be anxious, do not worry)
Ephesians 6:10-18 (Be prepared to do battle)

Wonderful Worshipers ~ Chapter 10 Part 2

Strike up the band, start the parade

Let’s all give a shout for the day we were saved!

Wonderful Worshipers

Candy:  Chocolate Covered Raisins
California Raisins are the best
You may even find a toy California raisins dancing or singing,
They will be your worshipers.
To help remind you to Praise at all times.

1-Box of plain raisins, they will be your non-worshipers.

Scriptures:
There are many scriptures these are just a few, below are many more.

Exodus 15:2
The Lord is my strength and my song,
And He has become my salvation; He is my God,
and I will praise Him;
My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.
Psalm 28:7
The Lord is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;
therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him.
Psalm 50:23
Whoever offers praise glorifies Me;
and to him who orders his conduct aright,
I will show the salvation of God.”
Psalm 69:30
I will praise the name of God with a song,
and will magnify Him with thanksgiving.

With football season underway
Lots of people are shouting for their favorite team.
Who is your favorite team?
In football there is an offense and a defense; two sides to every team.
In the bible, there are two sides
God’s Team the good side and then there is the evil side.

Psalm 5:11 But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them;
Let those also who love your name be joyful in You.

In football we have bands playing
cheerleaders are cheering and they even have a Home Coming Parade.
In the bible we have angel’s singing, people praying
and the Holy Spirit to guide our way.

Psalm 47:1
To the chief Musicians.
A Psalm of the sons of Korah Oh clap your hands,
all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph!

Most schools have a Home Coming game,
Followed by a Home Coming dance
Where they appoint a King and Queen.

Psalm 100:4
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him and bless His name.
In the bible we learn about the promised coming King,
We see His arrival, His departure, and His soon promised return.

Psalm 149:3
Let them praise His name with the dance;
Let them sing praises to Him with the trimbrel and harp.
Psalms 98:6
With Trumpets and the sound of a horn;
shout joyfully before the Lord, the King.
Psalm 24:8
Who is this King of glory?  The Lord strong and mighty in battle,
Lift us your heads, O you gates! Lift up, your everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah!

What is all the excitement about?
Who can score the most points?
In football you have a quarter back
He is the star player “Most of the time”
In the bible we have the Son of God
Who is the savior “All of the time”

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

This is My King! Strike up the band,
Start the parade
Let’s all give a shout for the day we were saved!
What’s that, many people would say
Many people will shout for a football team
But think it silly to shout for God.
Hundreds of people show up for a game on a Sunday Morning;
But how many
Will take their families to Church on a Sunday Morning?

 Psalm 107:32
Let them exalt Him also in the assembly of the people,
And praise Him in the company of the elders.

 In the bible
God speaks of the multitudes that will praise Him.
Jesus had multitudes come and listen to Him.

Psalm 109:30
I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth;
Yes, I will praise Him among the multitude.

In football when our team is winning we shout,
We sing, we cheer the team to victory.
God wants us to Praise Him
The scriptures tell us over and over again.
Praise the Lord! Praise the name of the Lord
Praise Him, O you servants of the Lord!  In the bible,
God tells us He will give us the victory, we sing,
We shout for the victory belongs to the Lord.

 I Corinthians 15:57
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Again thinking about football season
I came up with my own commercial.
This is where your California Raisin comes in.
Picture this: the raisin, just an ordinary raisin,
Not any different than all the rest.

But then now
How about the California Raisins
Chocolate covered, singing and dancing.
What do you think made these raisins
 Praising Raisins
Maybe they put on their garments of Praise!
Yes! ... How about a Smile! .. JoY
God wants us to be Wonderful Worshipers Too!

If you are a teacher or parent
Teach your children,
Teach them about the importance of praise.
Teach them how to Shout, tell them what it is all about.
 Jesus should be their King.
If we can shout for a football team
then surely we can shout and sing
for the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings.
Encourage them not to be a dried up raisin
but a chocolate covered raisin
covered in Praise
Lifting up their voices to Jesus their King.
Shout for the Victory belongs to the Lord.
Would you like to share in this Victory?
The Victory that has overcome the world,
Jesus is that Victory!
Would you like for Jesus to be your King?
Do you need to shout and sing?
Then go ahead; what are you waiting for?
Lift up your Hands
Surrender to the Soon Coming King

Let’s Pray:

Father God, forgive me for any wrong doings called sin.  Help me turn from evil and do those things that are right.  Help me to know Jesus the Son of God, as my Lord and King.  Help me to shout and sing with the Victory over life’s problems. Jesus to come into my heart, today!  Thank you Lord; for becoming my King and for giving me the Victory over sin and death.

Go Ahead! .. Give God A Shout!
Hallelujah

Birth of Jesus Christ

December ~ Chapter 12

The Birth
of
Jesus
Was a Big Deal
In the Heavens
But in the Earth
Not
All were invited
To
The
Celebration

There were those who would have caused harm to Jesus
As a baby just like they did when he was a grown man

A Decree/A Law
Had been sent forth for taxes to be paid
So Mary and Joseph
Had to make a long journey
To  Bethlehem
They did not have a car
Or
A horse and carriage
Mary rode on the
Back of a Donkey

Today
We Celebrate
 The Birth of Jesus Christ
On
December 25th
So
Let the excitement begin
It is time to
Start the Celebration
 Look up to the sky
Do you see anything different
Do you see the Star ~ that Burst forth
Chapter 12 ~ A Candy For All Seasons ~ December
"Celebration"
We began a journey with a Star-burst candy
Learning about the Star that burst forth with a great light
The Angel That Appeared
Those told
Not to be in fear
The Star was a light to the path ... for many to see the baby messiah
The Christ Child
Not in a fancy
Kingdom
But a Stable
We would call it a Barn
Not with lace blankets
Or
A fancy Nursery
But swaddling cloths
Which were cloths used in the stable/barn
To clean up messes
Thank you Pastor for helping
 LisaMe!
 To understand that
In all my years of sharing
I had never been told this
But as he said
Anyone who grew up around a stable
Would know this
I did grow up with grandparents
That owned a Farm
But it was a cattle farm
And
We were not allowed around where the calves were born
Many times which was in the fields where they were

What will it take for you to SEE

What the true Celebration of this season is all about
 It is
.. Jesus ..
Christ
The
Messiah's Birth Celebration
 We have much to Learn
With
Love
LisaMe!
Don't take my word for it ..
Go read it for your self ....

Luke 2:1-20New King James Version (NKJV)

Christ Born of Mary

And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city.
Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife,[a] who was with child. So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

Glory in the Highest

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold,[b] an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
14 “Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”[c]
15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. 17 Now when they had seen Him, they made widely[d] known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. 18 And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.
And the Dangers were real too

Matthew 2 New King James Version (NKJV)

Wise Men from the East

Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”
When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born.
So they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet:
‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,
Are not the least among the rulers of Judah;
For out of you shall come a Ruler
Who will shepherd My people Israel.’[a]
Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from them what time the star appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the young Child, and when you have found Him, bring back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also.”
When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. 11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
12 Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.

The Flight into Egypt

13 Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”
14 When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, 15 and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”[b]

Massacre of the Innocents

16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men. 17 Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying:
18 “A voice was heard in Ramah,
Lamentation, weeping, and great mourning,
Rachel weeping for her children,
Refusing to be comforted,
Because they are no more.”[c]

The Home in Nazareth

19 Now when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, 20 saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the young Child’s life are dead.” 21 Then he arose, took the young Child and His mother, and came into the land of Israel.
22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea instead of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. And being warned by God in a dream, he turned aside into the region of Galilee. 23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, “He shall be called a Nazarene.”
